Are You Helping Realtors?
Or, are you the typical loan officer out there spinning your wheels, hitting a brick wall, or trying to get past the frontal attack that keeps you from the agents in the office. You need to try a different approach. Learn how to present the value that you possess, and the value that your company adds to the Realtor's business model.
When you visit a Realtor's office, or meet them while networking (you are networking, right), don't just tell them to give you their loans. Ask them what you can do to help them sell their inventory, or if you can refer them business. You will be surprised by their reaction.
There are several things you can do to help:

Provide them with single-listing websites that YOU create for them using the information on their listing.

Use IPromote with them to advertise their listing, and promote their website.

Trulia.

Zillow.

Go to their Open House and provide lunch, or munchies, or cookies and milk.

Create flyers for them that you help them hand out in their "farm."

Spend time giving them a break at their Open House answering questions (must be DRE licensed).
In other words, help them instead of annoying them. Treat Realtors as a PARTNER and not an adverary. Both of you have the same goals, and collaborating on goals beats competing in the end.
